Help Others, Help Self

Barbie in a Christmas Carol is a 2008 computer animated film and part of the CGI Barbie film series. It is an adaptation of the Charles Dickens story “A Christmas Carol”. I like this movie very much, because I got a sense from it, which is a warm-hearted person should get the esteem and affection from other people.

On Christmas Eve, Kelly is reluctant to go to a Christmas Eve ball, so Barbie tells her the story of Eden Starling, a glamourous singing diva in the Victorian England and the owner of a theatre house. However, Eden is self-centred and only loves herself. Catherine Beadnell, as her best friend, tries to persuade Eden, who need three spirits to change her life, each by showing Eden her past, her present, and her future. Meanwhile, the spirit of Christmas present shows Eden that Catherine is a truly generous person as she gives the orphans clothes. Eden is touched by this view. Through Catherine’s good deeds, Eden ultimately learns to help and love others.Kelly changes her mind about Christmas after listening to Barbie’s stories. She decides to go to the donation party.
